Renee put on her Susquehanna Hat and ventured out today. Don’t worry she had a chaperone and she wasn’t going anywhere near
Niagara Falls. (Oh no, you’ve said it now!) But she did head toward Bagel Street, well close, to the Temple Pre-School. The youngsters will need to check out Abbott & Costello on YouTube for translation (links below).
Renee was moving pretty slow getting ready and shuffling toward the car. But, she felt compelled to visit her co-workers and the kids in the Duck Class. It was her first trip out of the house except for the doctor visit on Tuesday. Her mother accompanied her so I don’t know what transpired. She was back in an hour and said she couldn’t believe how much energy that took. Renee was wiped out and went straight to bed. Right now I’ve got no further info.
The home care nurse was in yesterday. Renee’s drainage from the incision is slowing down. She pulled a couple more staples but left about four inches worth along the bottom length of the rift. She was reluctant to pull them all as both she and the doctor had mentioned that the wound could split open when soft from the seepage.Neither one of them wants Renee moving around with whatever’s left of her insides hanging out. Excuse me? Isn’t that what the surgeon did on purpose? Apparently it’s only OK if it is predetermined which parts get to air themselves out.
The rest of the staples are scheduled to come out on Sunday. I didn’t know this until today but the hospital sent home a Skin Staple Remover. Whoowee! I can’t wait until Renee goes to sleep Saturday night. I’m not waiting for the nurse. I’m going in and yanking the rest. I’ve got to work on my new career (Certified Staple Remover Specialist if you weren’t paying attention earlier) and I think Renee should support me.
What do you think?
Do It?
Don’t do it?
C’mon, someone dare me.
Just don’t mention Niagara Falls or the Susquehanna Hat Company I may not be able to control myself.
